NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Primary Care Training Hub recognise the immense value of GP Partners, both within General Practice and the Integrated Care System as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know that being a Partner can be challenging, and we want to support GPs at all stages of their Partnership journey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Prospective GP Partners may be interested in Gloucestershire\u2019s Be a GP Partner scheme which is unique to the county. The scheme offers a weekly funded fellowship session to GPs who are considering becoming a Partner, or are new to partnership, to help them develop the skills needed to thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Fellows are supported by the Primary Care Training Hub to develop a bespoke development plan, covering skills such as management, leadership, finances and research, to support the exciting transition to moving into a Partnership role. All GP Partner fellows are offered mentoring sessions with trained GP mentors with experience of partnership, providing a one-to-one space for career conversations and
support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as providing dedicated support for new and emerging Partners, we also recognise the need to support our experienced GP Partners. Partners at all stages of their careers are offered the opportunity to join facilitated peer support groups, to connect and engage with others and share best practice. In practices that don\u2019t have a Partnership model, clinical leaders are invited to engage with elements of the training and development offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GP Partners, whether emerging, new or experienced, come together for training sessions provided through the Primary Care Training Hub, in collaboration with the LMC, with training covering a wide range of topics to energise and develop Partnership skills. We are continuously adapting and evolving the programme to meet the needs of modern general practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheme is endorsed by the ICB, which truly believes and invests in the Partnership model for Gloucestershire. Given the county\u2019s culturally rich and diverse populations, GP Partners are encouraged to have strong connections within their neighbourhoods and to work with their local communities to deliver care closer to home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The ICB and Primary Care Training Hub actively engage with our practices and GP Partners. A recent workforce survey of Gloucestershire GP Partners told us they highly value teamwork, autonomy, creativity, and continuity of care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ICB, the Primary Care Training Hub and the LMC are steadfast in recognising the importance of Partners to our population, which is why we are devoted to investing resources, time and energy to make Gloucestershire the best place to live and work as a GP Partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gloucestershire also has a local track record for supporting practices with infrastructure developments and we are progressing our long-term plan to improve surgery premises and environments, benefitting practice teams and patients alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last six years, the ICB has supported 20 schemes, both new surgery buildings and extensions. We are continuing to progress six new surgery buildings that will serve 74,000 patients with a total capital value of over \u00a336m.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
